We don't get many
questions about our neem products, all of which are
currently purchased through a subcontractor in the U.S.
(The neem products are one of the few that we carry
and do not ourselves manufacture.)
The medicinal properties of neem, which originates in
modern times from India, have been well-known and
established for thousands of years. We recommend
that you thoroughly read through the
neem intro page,
and the companion neem
use tables. The material is pretty thorough, and
if you still have quesitons, just
let us know.
The neem use tables are pretty
expansive.
Does it really "work" on that many ailments?
The short answer is "No," but a better
explanation is in order: indigenous groups tend to be limited in their
options, versus democratic Western options which, despite the governmental,
bureaucratic
hussle that clearly tends to favor pharmaceutical companies, still allows
the average citizen access to more varied types of therapy, different
modalities, a larger variety of drugs, supplements, and related health
care products. The best that one
culture has to offer may be viewed in another culture as marginal.
Moreover, these "use tables,"
we provide do nothing to account for variances in effects on account
of different genetic pools. We know as herbalists that certain herbal
combinations will work well, for instance, in China, and yet Caucasians
in North America will report much lower levels of efficacy, and vice
versa. Although most of our users have reported fair to excellent
results in using the neem products, we still get an occasional letter
expressing disappointment. One that comes to mind was a patient with
psoriasis who initially reported favor results in using the products
in the neem use table traditionally used for psoriasis. After a month
or so, she wrote back to tell us that it stopped working. This is
exactly the oppose of what other users have reported. Why does one
patient get excellent results and other only moderate, or perhaps
even none? No one precisely why.
Treat the "use tables"
for what they are: a guide based on traditional use in India.
We offer them as supplemental and not treatments or "cures."
If your health challenge is conquered using them, fine.
If not, this is precisely why we have a very liberal
moneyback guarantee.
