alendula ointment is a well-known "traditional"
topical, used for sunburns, strains, bruises, wounds (bleeding or no).
Externally, it's a good, general healer, with entire different
properties and mechanics of action than either QuikHeal
or H3O. It is mildly antiseptic,
which gives rise to its traditional use in warding off
infections - but not nearly as strong as the better-known
oxidizing antiseptics (i.e. hydrogen peroxide, or
Lugol's iodine.
Other traditional uses which users report back on favorably include: diaper rash, sore nipples caused by breast feeding, and varicose veins. It is very gentle on sensitive skin, making it suitable for use on small children and infants. For adult applications, H3O is usually a better "wound healer," but for the other applications mentioned, or where use on sensitive skin is an issue, Calendula Ointment is an excellent choice. Ingredients: Calendula Flower (Calendula officinalis) extract, Calendula Essential Oil (Calendula officinalis), Neem Oil (Azadirachta indica), beeswax, and glycerine. |
