The Fundamentals

What Are STDs?
There are more than 20 different types of STDs (sexually transmitted diseases).
Can STDs Be Transmitted Without Intercourse?
Sexual contact is more than just intercourse. It includes kissing, oral-genital contact, and the use of sex "toys" such as vibrators. While most people think that kissing is a safe activity, that idea must be reassessed. Syphilis, herpes, and other diseases can be contracted through kissing. All forms of sexual contact carry some risk. Condoms, commonly thought to protect against STDs, are helpful in preventing some STDs such as HIV and gonorrhea. They are less effective, however, against genital herpes and warts, trichomoniasis, and chlamydia.
Are STDs Treatable?
Most STDs are treatable, however, even gonorrhea, which used to be easily cured, has become resistant to many traditional antibiotics. Other STDs such as genital herpes, AIDS, and genital warts, which are all caused by viruses, have no cure. Many STDs can cause further complications and even serious problems such as PID (pelvic inflammatory disease), problems in pregnancy, and cervical cancer so it is important to find the treatment right for you. Herbal supplements such as agaricus mushrooms have been linked to alleviating some symptoms related to STDs, and our new Neem Oil Suppositories, while still experimental, are showing great promise.

Sexually Transmitted Diseases
(STDs)

A
ffecting more than 10 million women and men yearly, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs, of which more than 20 have been identified) are among the most common infectious diseases in the United States today. STDs affect people of all backgrounds and incomes, though most often teenagers and adults under 25. Often, STDs show no symptoms, particularly in women, and when symptoms are present, are frequently confused with other diseases. However, even if a person bears no symptoms, she can still pass it on to a sex partner. It is very important for individuals with multiple sex partners to get tested periodically, as having sexual contact with more than one partner can lead to a variety of sexually transmitted infections and diseases such as AIDS and HIV, chlamydia, genital herpes, and others.
AIDS, or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), affects nearly 1 million people in the U.S. HIV is a virus that destroys the body’s ability to fight off infection and is passed on through sexual contact and by sharing intravenous needles. Currently there is no cure for AIDS, but there are effective treatments available.
Chlamydia is the most common of all bacterial STDs. Symptoms include abnormal genital discharge and burning with urination. Many people have no symptoms, but can still pass on the infection.
Genital herpes, affecting more than 50 million people in the U.S., shows as a cluster of painful blisters and open sores in the genital area. There is no known cure for genital herpes, and the virus remains in the body for life. Blisters and other symptoms usually subside within 1-3 weeks, but usually recur from time to time.
Other sexually transmitted diseases include gonorrhea and syphilis. While incidences of both have decreased over recent years, perhaps in lieu of all the new, more serious diseases such as AIDS, gonorrhea still shows up in nearly half a million individuals each year. Symptoms of gonorrhea include vaginal or penile discharge and painful urination. The most common symptom of syphilis is a painless open sore on the penis, the vagina, or near the mouth or anus. If left untreated, a rash may develop and eventual heart and central nervous system problems.
While some STDs can be easily eliminated from the body, others may last a lifetime. There are many products available by prescription or over the counter that may temporarily relieve some symptoms of some sexually transmitted diseases. Alpha Omega Labs offers Neem Oil Suppositories as a serious contender in the war against sexually transmitted diseases. The vermifugal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral properties of Neem tree oil have been extensively documented. Our suppositories, containing 600 mg. of pure, unprocessed Neem tree oil per suppository, takes advantage of these scientific data to create an experimental product that has begun to show promising results. Sufficient toxicological reports have been gathered to prove the safety of this product, but we are concerned as to whether there is enough data regarding its ability to prevent pregnancy as well as bacterial and viral STDs.

We strongly recommend the use of a physician for the diagnostic phase of any treatment. With an accurate diagnosis in hand, we believe the consumer, at that point, has a basic, unalienable right to seek out factual information on all therapeutic approaches, both orthodox and alternative, and choose those approach(es) that are right for them. Nonetheless, a "good doctor" should be considered a requisite starting point.
